The latest installment in the Growing Native series features Petey Mesquitey and his entertaining and witty take on the Sonoran Desert. Petey Mesquitey is KXCI's resident storyteller. Every week since the
spring of 1992 Petey has subjected KXCI listeners to slide shows and
poems, stories and songs about flora, fauna, and family and the glory
of living in southern Arizona. Petey and his wife, who through no fault
of her own is the beautiful Ms. Mesquitey, live in a 1991 Marvellette
on the banks of the ol' Guajolote in Cochise County Arizona.
