KXCI Strategic Planning

Strategic Planning Update

After many, many hours of meetings over several months, and with the input of our community, listeners, members, our volunteers, staff and Board of Directors, the KXCI Strategic Planning Committee presented the draft version of the KXCI Strategic Plan at the June annual meeting of the Board of Directors.

Subsequently, the Board of Directors has made some minor revisions to that document, which is now presented here for your review and comments.

Please read the four-page strategic plan, which sets out a vision for the future of KXCI Community Radio, centered around six main goals.

After you read the document, please complete the web comment form included here to provide your final thoughts on the plan. All comments go directly to the Board of Directors, who will review the comments and consider final revisions to the plan prior to the planned adoption of the Strategic Plan at the August 21st board meeting.

Thank you for participating in our strategic plan process!

KXCI Initiates Strategic Planning Process

This Fall, the KXCI Board initiated a strategic planning process for our community radio station. The planning team involves members of the KXCI Board, the Community Advisory Board, staff, volunteers, and members at large.

Together with a strategic planning consultant, we are well into the process, and are now looking to gather feedback from the community about a new vision for KXCI. The card below can be cut out and mailed to the station, or you can go to our website and follow the links to the strategic planning section and fill it out there. We will be seeking your feedback multiple times over the next few months, and hope to present the draft strategic plan to the KXCI Board of Directors at the annual meeting in June 2008.

Our focus is to help redefine the mission, vision, and values of KXCI, and initiate planning to implement steps toward this vision. We are committed to this being an inclusive process, and in order to articulate these ideas for the future of the station, we want to hear from you. The quality and quantity of input we receive will determine how accurately this plan will reflect the views and needs of our community. This is your opportunity to shape the future of community radio here in Tucson; please share your passion and vision for the future of KXCI!
